Where Great Minds Are Born

About Sunshine Playschool

Sunshine playschool works in partnership with Angus council to
provide funded and non-funded places for all children aged 2-5 years
old.
At Sunshine Playschool we offer the same level of education as local
authority nurseries by following the guidelines laid out by the Scottish
Government in the Curriculum for Excellence, Pre-Birth to Three and
Realising the Ambition.
We provide a free flow, play based environment to allow children to
explore, investigate and experiment in order to develop and learn.
Through play, children are given the experiences required to gain
skills across all areas and to grow and develop; physically, socially,
emotionally and psychologically. Children are encouraged to express
their thoughts, opinions and ideas and to take a lead role in their own
learning. We aim to provide children with opportunities to develop
independence, confidence, a sense of responsibility and respect for
themselves and others along with the experiences necessary to
challenge themselves and build resilience.
We offer a range of different play types and experiences and
encourage active, risky play through trips to the woods, the playing
fields and local play park, as well as in our own playschool garden.
If you are interested in enrolling your child at playschool please get in
touch via phone or email, or please feel free to pop in for visit with
your child, where you can look around and speak to staff about your
requirements. We look forward to welcoming you to Sunshine
Playschool.
